Three men remanded in custody after Carlow-Laois raids

Three men have been remanded in custody after they appeared in court in connection with a number of raids on properties in counties Carlow and Laois on Wednesday.

Thomas Hurley with an address at The View, Graigecullen, Co Carlow; Matthew Dreeling of Tommy Murphy Park, Graigecullen, Co Carlow and Adrian Farrell from Rosmore View, Graigcullen, Co Carlow appeared before Carlow District Court.

They faced a number of charges, including theft, possession of stolen property and firearms and several road traffic offences.

All three men - one in his late teens, the others in their 20s - were remanded in custody with consent to bail, to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Wednesday.
