Tens of thousands head to Wicklow and Galway events
Tens of thousands of peopleare expected at Wicklow's annual Air Spectacular today.
This free event is taking place as part of Bray Summerfest - and gets underway at 3.30pm.
The show in Bray will feature aerobatics, parachute jumps, and various aircrafts, including a jet called a BD5 which was used in one of the Bond movies.
Display director of Air Spectacular Bray, Sé Pardy, advised those attending to use the DART to get to the event.
Meanwhile in Galway, some 80,000 people will line the streets of Galway tonight for the celebrated Macnas parade.
About 250 larger-than-life performers will dazzle the crowds in one of highlights of the annual Galway Arts Festival.
The parade begins at Spanish Arch at 8.45pm, and winds through the heart of the city for about 90 minutes.
