Woman killed in Cavan crash

A 21-year-old woman has been killed in a crash in Co Cavan.

The woman was a passenger in a car which crashed at Aughnaskay near Mount Nugent, shortly after 4am today.

A 20-year-old man who was driving the car was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening,

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the accident, or who might have seen the car on the Mount Nugent to Finea road to come forward.
