Man arrested following armed raid in Walkinstown

A man has been arrested in connection with an armed raid on a post office in Dublin.

A female staff member was injured by shrapnel when a shot was fired during the attempted robbery at the post office on Bunting Road in Walkinstown last week.

A man in his 20s was arrested this morning, and is currently being held at Terenure Garda Station.
