Euroscience Open Forum to open in Dublin
The largest scientific meeting of its kind in Europe gets underway in Dublin this evening.
President Michael D Higgins will officially open the Euroscience Open Forum 2012, which runs for five days.
More than 4,000 delegates will gather to hear speeches from high profile guests, including five Nobel Prize winners and the director general of Cern.
The best of Irish scientific research will also be on display to those attending the event.
