Medical Council issues warning to GPs about sick certs

The Medical Council is again reminding doctors of its guidelines on the provision of sick certs to its patients.

It comes after it emerged this week that 185,000 sick days were recorded across Government departments last year, at a cost of €27m to the taxpayer.
