Trainees stranded in US as €80k pilot course folds

Up to 80 Irish trainee pilots who paid as much as €83,000 for flight training are stranded in Florida after being told their course will not be continuing.

The trainees — who had paid fees to the Waterford-based Pilot Training Centre of Ireland — were told 10 days ago by the Florida Institute of Technology Aviation they were not allowed into the air again.
