Household-charge reminder letters to start dropping tomorrow

The first batch of reminder letters for those who have not paid the household charge will arrive at people's homes from tomorrow.

The first reminder letters for those who have not paid the household charge will arrive at people's homes from tomorrow.

So far, just under one million properties have registered for the charge, with a further 17,607 properties registered for waivers.

Those who have not registered are being reminded that penalties and interest continue to accrue for those properties.

People who wish to pay the household charge can do so online at householdcharge.ie, by credit and debit card or by cheque, postal order and bank drafts at their local authority office.
