'Tinkering with penalty points and ads' not enough in road-safety fight: Higgins

Fine Gael MEP for Ireland North West Jim Higgins has said more gardaí are needed to enforce the rules of the road, after igures showed an increase in fatalities by 55% in the last three months.

Nineteen more people were killed from March to June this year than in the same period last year.
