New scheme to help 3,500 families struggling with mortgage

An initiative which helps struggling mortgage holders to remain in their homes is being rolled out nationally.

Under the Mortgage-to-Rent scheme, the home is bought by a housing association and the family continues to live there, but as tenants paying a more affordable rent rather than a full mortgage.
