First gay mayor elected in Fingal

The country's first openly gay mayor has been elected in Dublin.

Labour Councillor Cian O'Callaghan is the new Mayor of Fingal County Council.

His election coincides with the annual Dublin LGTBQ festival - also known as Pride - which takes place this weekend.
