Cork Summer Show forced to cancel Sunday events
The annual Cork Summer Show, which was due to take place this weekend, has been cancelled.
Friday and Saturday events had already been cancelled, but it had been hoped the show could go ahead tomorrow.
The Munster Agriculture Society - which organised the show - said the decision was taken to call off the event, due to the unprecedented and ongoing rainfall.
All exhibitor and trade entry fees will be refunded over the next three weeks.
It is estimated that more than 25,000 people were due to attend the show this weekend.
A charity barbeque in aid of The Children's Leukaemia Association and The Cork Association for Autism, which was scheduled for tonight in Curraheen in Bishopstown, has been relocated to Ryan's Supervalu in Glanmire from 7.30pm to 11pm.
