Women frustrated at lack of promotion opportunities at work, says survey
Almost three quarters of Irish working women questioned in a survey believe they have experienced sexism in the workplace.
The survey of 814 female employees was carried out by Peninsula Ireland.
A total of 74%of those polled say they are frustrated that men have been promoted over them, while 21% do not feel confident that their ideas will be taken on board because of their gender.
Almost half (49%) believe employers should do more for equal-opportunity recruitment in higher positions.
