Passenger critical following crash which killed driver in Wicklow

A man is in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin following a fatal road crash in Co. Wicklow yesterday evening.

He was one of two passengers in a car involved in the single vehicle accident , which happened on the Sean Kelly Bridge in Sally Gap around at 5.30pm.

His condition worsened overnight. A second man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries in hospital.

The driver of the car, a man in his early 20s, died in the incident which is being investigated by the Garda Ombudsman.
