SIPTU is calling on the HSE to honour its previous commitment to home help nurses by not contracting out the service to private organisations.

At a meeting at SIPTU headquarters in Dublin today, home help staff agreed to lobby the Minister for Health James Reilly, as well as local councillors and TDs, to ensure that the plan to tender the service does not go ahead.
