Reilly: Legislation on the way to abolish current HSE board structure
The Health Minister has said that new legislation to abolish the structure of the HSE board will become law in the coming months.
The Cabinet has today approved the Heads of a Bill to overhaul the running of the Health Service Executive and the setting up of a new seven person Directorate.
James Reilly said that the development is part of the process to radically reform the HSE and put in place a system of Universal Health Insurance.
Minister Reilly said that he hopes the changes to the board's structure will be implemented before September.
