Major contraband cigarette haul at Dublin Port

More than five million contraband cigarettes have been seized at Dublin Port.
The haul, which has a retail value of around €2m, was found by Revenue Custom's officials after a UK registered commercial vehicle and trailer were searched.
The Raquel, Pride, Jim and Capital brand cigarettes would have meant a potential loss of €1.8m had they made it to the black market.
The driver of the vehicle was interviewed by customs officers and investigations are ongoing both domestically and internationally.
