Poll shows 39% in favour of Fiscal Treaty
A new opinion poll shows that the yes campaign maintains its lead in the run-up to the Fiscal Treaty referendum.
However, the survey for tomorrow's Irish Times shows the outcome of next Thursday's referendum remains with undecided voters.
The Irish Times Ipsos/Mrbi poll was carried out Wednesday, yesterday and up to lunchtime today and compares to the paper's last poll five weeks ago.
Asked how they were likely to vote on the treaty:
- 39% of voters said Yes,
- 30% said No
- 31% either still didn’t know or won’t vote.
When those undecided voters are excluded, support for the Yes side stands at 57%, up nine points, with No support at 43%, up seven points.
The number of undecided voters has come down by 16 points since the last poll.
