Over 400 new jobs to be created in separate developments

Up to 430 new jobs have been announced for regions right across the country.

Three separate recruitment drives have been launched in the marine, medical devices and food and drinks industries.

The Taoiseach today turned the sod on a new €150m expansion of the Jameson whiskey distillery in Cork, an investment that will create 250 construction jobs.

Earlier, the Agriculture Minister announced the creation of 142 positions at 21 seafood processing plants nationwide.

Meanwhile, in Co. Tipperary, Irish medical devices firm Technopath has announced 40 new jobs in quality control for their plant in Ballina.
