Survey: Almost 80% think time is right to buy house

Almost 80% of people believe now is a good time to buy a house, according to a new survey, published in this morning's Irish Independent.

Almost 70% of those surveyed say they believe house prices will continue to fall.

But the bad news is, that even if you do agree now is a good time to buy, the only problem is getting a mortgage.

The numbers issued by the banks in the first three months of this year was down nearly 20% on the same period last year.
