A youth who was part of a gang that attacked an army sergeant in order to hijack a military jeep has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Thomas Doran (aged 20) of Coldcut Crescent, Clondalkin was in a group which threatened the sergeant with a broken bottle before driving off at high speed in a stolen army jeep.
