Higgins: Irish people would be embraced after no vote
Socialist leader Joe Higgins said the Irish people would be embraced by millions of Europeans if they vote no to the Fiscal Treaty.
He made the remarks at the launch of the party's new website austeritytreaty.ie, which features videos campaigning for a no vote.

The party claims that Ireland would have to pay €8bn in cuts and tax hikes in order to meet the strict budget rules set down by the treaty.
Socialist leader Joe Higgins said a no vote would be welcomed by other Europeans.
"(This) idea that we would be isolated…The opposite is the case," he said.
