Fianna Fail Chief Whip welcomes O Cuiv's decision

The Fianna Fail Chief Whip has welcomed Eamon O Cuiv's decision to remain as a member of the party.

Sean O Fearghail's remarks come after the Galway West TD confirmed he is to stay within Fianna Fáil and promised to refrain from making any further public comment on the EU fiscal treaty.

It follows a letter issued to Mr O Cuiv over the weekend warning him that any further public expression of his opposition to the referendum would be considered a breach of party policy.
