Man missing from ferry sparks land and sea search

A land and sea search has been launched off the south-east coast, for a man believed to be missing from a ferry.

The alarm was raised at around 8.30am this morning, when the bus passenger, travelling with Irish Ferries on the Isle of Inishmore ferry from Pembroke in Wales to Rosslare was not on board the ferry when it arrived in the Wexford port.

The Waterford coastguard helicopter is currently searching the sea, while Gardaí in Wexford are conducting a shoreline search.
