Cork Gardaí launch murder probe after stabbing
Gardaí in Cork have launched a murder investigation after a 31-year-old man stabbed in the city on Friday lost his fight for life.
David Hamilton from Wexford died at Cork University Hospital last night.
He had been stabbed on Kerryhall Road in Fairhill on Cork's northside.
A man has already appeared in court charged with assault causing harm to Mr Hamilton and is due back in court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a man is due before Cork District Court this morning, charged in connection with a separate fatal stabbing in the city.
31-year-old Mark Hanlon died after being stabbed on Infirmary Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
