Public service trade union resists change to sick pay entitlements

The country's largest public service trade union IMPACT has said that it does not accept new proposals to cut sick pay entitlements for civil servants.

The Government wants to cut its sick pay bill by altering the current arrangement which allow workers to take 12 months paid sick leave - half of it on full pay.
