Meath woman awarded €38k after holiday sun lounger collapse

A 74-year-old widow, who spent most of a sun holiday in her hotel bedroom after having been injured when a sun lounger collapsed underneath her, has been awarded €38,000 damages against the hotel.

Mary Lee told the Circuit Civil Court in Dublin today that on the August 17, 2008 she was sitting by the swimming pool of the four-star Hotel Galeazzi, near Brescia in Italy.
