Anti-household charge protesters to stage Dublin demonstrations

Anti-household charge campaigners are accusing the Government of making pensioners feel bullied.

To highlight their concern, protesters are planning to mount pickets ouside the constituency offices of two Government TDs in Dublin this afternoon.

Paschal Donohoe of Fine Gael and Labour's Joe Costello are being accused of betraying their constituents.

Dublin City Councillor Cieran Perry, is one of those taking a stand.

"Senior citizens feel that they are and have been bullied, particularly by the likes of the Minister for the Environment and some of the other ministers, who are threatening them with legal action, with jailing, with fines," he said.

"This type of thing plays on people's minds, especially senior citizens."
