Cork teenager Joanne O’Riordan, who was born without arms and legs, is now delivering a keynote address to the United Nations in New York.

Joanne, from Millstreet, Co Cork, is delivering the speech the UN’s International Telecommunication Union on how technology has enhanced her life.

Joanne, who celebrated her 16th birthday in the Big Apple on Thursday, suffers from an extremely-rare condition known as Total Amelia Syndrome.

She is known for helping to convince Taoiseach Enda Kenny to reconsider cuts to disability payments last year.
