Man charged with assault after death in Waterford

A man has been charged with assault today at Waterford District Court today in connection with the death of Joe O'Brien in the city on Monday night.

A man has been charged with assault causing serious harm today in connection with the death of Joe O'Brien in Waterford on Monday night.

The inquiry was upgraded to murder after a post mortem showed Mr O'Brien died from head injuries.
