The State Pathologist has told a jury there were four seperate areas of bruising on the head of a baby boy allegedly killed by his mother's fiance.

Philip Doyle of Tinakilly, Aughrim, Co Wicklow denies murdering Ross Murphy at the house he shared with his partner Leona Murphy in Creagh Desmesne, Gorey on April 5, 2005.

The prosecution claims the infant suffered shaken baby syndrome.
