Mandate union to decide stance on Fiscal Treaty
Up to 300 delegates from the trade union Mandate will decide today how to advise its members to vote in the Fiscal Treaty referendum.
The union represents 45,000 workers in the bar and retail trade.
Other items for discussion include how the recession is slashing working hours for shop workers.
John Douglas, General Secretary of Mandate, is appealing to multi-nationals operating in Ireland to give decent contracts to their staff.
