Man given suspended sentence for abuse of nieces

An elderly man who admitted molesting his five-year-old nieces 30 years ago has been given a 12-month suspended sentence.

The 69-year-old Dubliner, who pleaded guilty to six charges of indecent assault at a house in Crumlin between 1970 and 1980, has been found to be medically unsuitable for prison.
