Limerick family recovering after armed robbery at home
A family of six is recovering after an armed robbery at their home in Limerick last night.
Three men armed with sledgehammers and shotguns burst into a house at Kilurragh in Pallasgreen shortly before 10pm last night.
The gang tied up the two parents and four children before making off with a "substantial" amount of money.
Shortly afterwards the three men were detained near Mallow in Co Cork and their car was seized.
They are being detained at Bruff garda station.
The family is in shock, but it is not believed they were injured.
It is not yet known whether the money has been recovered.
