Elderly man arrested in connection with stabbing

A elderly man been arrested in connection with the stabbing of another man in Co Limerick yesterday.

The incident happened at a pub in the town of Hospital, shortly after 6pm yesterday evening.

A 45-year old man, who was stabbed a number of times during the incident, is in a critical but stable condition in Limerick Regional Hospital.

Gardaí have arrested a 77-year old man and are questioning him at Bruff garda station.
