Elderly man killed in two-car crash

A man in his 80s has been killed in a two-car crash on the N4.

The elderly man was travelling alone when the collision happened at about 9pm last night at The Downs, near Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

A man and a woman in the second car were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar with minor injuries.
