Two arrested after €1.5m drugs seizure in Dublin

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of heroin worth an estimated €1.5m in Dublin.

The men, one in his early 50s and another in his early 60s, were held at around 2am this morning after gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit stopped and searched a vehicle on the Old North Road, Dublin 11.

The men are currently being detained at Finglas Garda under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice(Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The operation was part of ongoing Garda efforts to tackle organised crime.
