Burton moves to allay fears over pension changes

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton has said that in 2014, anyone who is obliged to retire from their jobs at age of 65 will be entitled to Jobseekers Benefit.

The comments from Minister Burton come in response to concerns raised from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) that some of the changes which the Government plans to introduce to state pensions have not been thought through properly.
