The Planning Minister Jan O'Sullivan has said she will order an external investigation if there is a hint of corruption in files under review in the Department of the Environment.

The files are being reviewed in the Department after no progress was made since John Gormley announced inquiries in June 2010.

Minister O'Sullivan has said there will not be any cover-up.
