Four people injured in Meath crash

Four people have been injured in a crash in Co Meath overnight.

The two-vehicle collision happened at 12.30am on the N2 between Slane and Collon.

Two people in each vehicle were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment, and two of the four are understood to have suffered serious injuries.

Gardaí said the road where the crash happened has been closed for a technical examination, and diversions are being put in place.

They have also appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
