Circus in hay appeal after Galway blaze
A popular travelling circus is appealing for assistance in sourcing hay and straw following an overnight fire in Galway.
Some 120 bales which had been stored by Duffy's Circus at the Headford Road in the city were destroyed in the overnight blaze, which a circus spokesperson claimed was started deliberately.
The hay and straw are used as feed and bedding for the animals.
Duffy's say they have enough to last until tomorrow morning, but have appealed for assistance in securing fresh supplies.
