LRC sees no basis for direct talks on Vita Cortex dispute, says SIPTU
Trade union SIPTU says its been informed by the Labour Relations Commission that there is, as yet, no basis for direct talks on the Vita Cortex dispute.
The LRC held separate talks this week with SIPTU and with the other parties in the dispute.
SIPTU said that it has been told that no clear basis has emerged for direct discussions but its hoping progress will be made next week.
However the LRC is to maintain contact with the parties over the weekend.
Workers at Vita Cortex in Cork have been occupying the plant on Kinsale Road since before Christmas in pursuit of what they say were agreed redundancy payments.
