Maloney to give evidence to Sutherland inquest

Boxing manager Frank Maloney is due to give evidence today at the inquest into the death of Irish boxer Darren Sutherland.

Yesterday, the inquest in England heard from the detective who investigated his death, who said he was in no doubt that the boxer had killed himself.

The inquest has also heard that the 27-year-old wanted to quit the sport and return home to Ireland, but felt he was contractually tied to his manager.
