Pair charged with murder of Brazilian man

Two men have today been charged with the murder of Brazilian man in Co Kerry.

The body of 28-year-old Bruno Limes de Sousa, from Gort in Co Galway, was found in a bog in Listowel on Sunday.

Today at Newcastle West District Court, 19-year-old John Paul Cawley and 28-year-old Wenio Rodrigues da Silva, were both charged with Mr de Sousa's murder.

The court heard that Mr Cawley told gardaí: "I'm sorry" when charged with the killing.

The two accused, both from Ardoughter, Ballyduff, Co Kerry, were remanded in custody to appear at Kilmallock District Court on March 16.
