Man pleads guilty to manslaughter in 2010 Lucan killing

A 27-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Lucan man Paul Harris.

Shane Millea, of The Pottery, Maynooth Road in Celbridge, Co Kildare, had been charged with the murder of Paul Harris at the Cannonbrook estate in Lucan on December 2, 2010.

Today Millea told the Central Criminal Court he was pleading not guilty to murder but guilty of manslaughter. The plea was accepted by the State.

Millea will be sentenced on April 14 and has been remanded in custody until then.
