Gardaí release man without charge in connection with Louth assault

Gardaí have released a man without charge after he was questioned about a serious assault in County Louth in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Another man is in a serious condition in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital after he was attacked at a house in Mullaharlin Park in Dundalk.

A man in his 30s, who was detained for questioning, was released without charge from Dundalk Garda station yesterday evening and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
