Gardaí investigate after man assaulted in Dundalk

Gardaí in Dundalk, Co. Louth, are investigating after a serious assault on a man in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his early 30s sustained serious injuries during an incident at a house at Mullaharlin Park.

He is currently receiving treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
