Cannabis factory found after fire in Cork village

A cannabis cultivation operation has been discovered in Skibereen Co. Cork.

In excess of 500 cannabis plants were found, when a fire broke out at a house on North Street in the town.

The drugs, with an estimated street value of €200,000, were discovered in the upstairs portion of the premises.

An investigation has been launched, but Gardaí said so far no arrests have been made.
