Pair charged with murder of English man in Bandon
A man and a woman were this afternoon charged with the murder of a man in Bandon, west Cork in November.
Romian national Ciprian Grozavu (aged 37) and 35-year-old Catherine O'Connor of Bridge House, Bandon appeared at Bandon Circuit Court where they were charged with the murder of John Forrester in the town on November 13, 2011.
The two were previously charged with the murder of 27-year-old Jonathan Duke on the same date.
Mr Forrester was aged in his 40s and originally from England.
Today Inspector Brendan Fogarty told Judge James McNulty that books of evidence were being prepared in both cases and were expected to "dovetail into one another".
The suspects were further remanded in custody to Limerick Prison and are scheduled to appear at Limerick District Court next Friday.
