Taoiseach set to sign EU fiscal compact today

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is in Brussels today to sign a new "fiscal compact" for tougher EU scrutiny of member states' economic plans.

Mr Kenny is one of 25 EU leaders set to sign the fiscal document, which the Irish electorate will be asked to ratify in a referendum in a few months' time.
